Barbara Lubin, Executive Director of the Middle East Children's Alliance in Berkeley, CA, returned on October 26, 2000 from spending two weeks traveling through the West Bank, Gaza, Arab towns in Israel, witnessing what is being called the "new intifada."
During her time in Palestine, Lubin attended seven funerals and witnessed five Palestinians, mostly children, shot to death by Israeli and 30 people wounded. Lubin also met with Israeli peace activists struggling to respond to the crisis.
Come hear what Lubin thinks needs to happen to end the crisis and see her sides of the "new intifada". Come to discuss what we can do to mobilize the community to stop this outrage and to fight for peace with justice.
