Dear Friends,
The annual fund raising dinner to benefit the Nahaal Scholarship Fund is upon us. The board of directors has organized the event on Saturday, November 18th at the Lavash Restaurant in San Francisco (4 Embarcadero Ctr). Once again, on behalf of the board, we invite you and your circle of family and friends to join us for an evening of food, fun and indulgence. Nahaal Scholarship Fund was established in August of 1994. The goal is to provide scholarship to intelligent yet financially less fortunate college students or high school seniors inside Iran. Observing, these conditions, Nahaal have been able to award scholarship to more than 30 students within the last 6 years. For the year 2000 for example, after careful review of the applications, the board chose 13 students in Iran. The process of transferring funds to the individuals is being completed. Nahaal is a non-political, non-religious and obviously non-profit organization that is making a difference, one individual at a time. We sure hope that our small donations bring comfort and happiness to the recipients and their families. In addition, we are hopeful that with assistance from you and others, Nahaal becomes a symbol of hope for less fortunate, young Iranian students. With this goal in mind, I invite and encourage you to join Nahaal by helping in any way you can. All together, we can make a difference.
The program for the evening will include a social hour from 6:30-8:0 followed by Persian cuisine for dinner at 8:00 PM and musical entertainment. There would also be an auction for items donated to Nahaal. You are encouraged to donate products or services, which will be auctioned off that evening. This is a unique opportunity to introduce your business, product or service to Iranian community in the Bay Area while helping Nahaal to reach its goals. A minimum donation of $50 per person is required which includes the cost of dinner, desert and entertainment. Your participation in this event would help Nahaal Scholarship Fund to spread hope within the young and intelligent men and women of the land we all call it home.
Respectfully,
Ramin Najafi, Ph.D. Mohammad Ahmadian Ph.D.
