Behzad Kashani
VP of Advanced Network Solutions, Cisco Systems

Behzad Kashani is Vice President, Advanced Network Solutions at Cisco
Systems. Within the Advanced Network Solutions group, Mr. Kashani manages
divisions responsible for Cisco's Global Solutions Engineering, Technical
Assistance Center (TAC) Web site (hhtp://www.cisco.com/tac), Advanced
Services software development, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
Program, Cisco Interactive Mentor (CIM), and Advanced Services programs.
These teams, consisting of over 300 professionals, are ultimately tasked to
design and implement network solutions that provide Cisco customers and
partners with the diverse technical support knowledge and various tools
needed to manage and maintain today's global networks.
Mr. Kashani was appointed to his current position in April 2000. Prior to
this position, he served for eight years leading the development and
operations of Advanced Services programs: Network Supported Accounts (NSA),
and High-Availability Services. Within the Advanced Services organization,
Mr. Kashani developed a global organization of over 500 top industry
network engineers responsible for providing consulting services to over 450
of Cisco's largest customers.
Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Kashani was a Systems Engineering Manager with
AT&T's Computer Systems Sales Organization for five years. He was inducted
to the Computer Systems' Hall of Fame in May 1991 and served as the leader
of AT&T Computer systems Technical Forum during the same year. Prior to
AT&T Computer Systems, he worked as a Member of Technical Staff with Bell
Labs for five years and was involved with hardware and software development
projects on PBXs and data communication controllers.
Mr. Kashani graduated with honors from the University of Colorado with a
B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a Master's degree in
Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Science from the same
institution. In addition, Mr. Kashani holds an MBA from the University of
California, Los Angeles.
